JURY SPANISH SHORT FILM NIGHT

ALICIA MONCHOLÍ

Director and screenwriter graduated from ESCAC with a specialisation in screenwriting. Resident at the Film Academy with the feature film in development Los fines de semana, Alicia has also participated in other residencies such as the Dama Ayuda laboratory, the Semilleru Lab, Acció Viver de Dones Visuals, Spanish Screenings at MIA MARKET Rome, the D’A Film Lab and Málaga Talents. Her award-winning short film Campolivar has been screened at festivals such as San Sebastián, Palm Springs Film Festival, Vienna Shorts, Bogoshorts, Drama Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin, and Transmutation, among others. Its national premiere was a joint premiere at FICX and ZINEBI.

CARMEN CHÁVEZ

Cultural manager, Master’s degree in Cultural Project Management from La Fábrica (Madrid). She has worked in different departments of festivals such as SEMINCI, Huesca International Film Festival, Aguilar de Campoo and Documenta Madrid, as well as other events and institutions such as Cineteca Madrid, Iberseries&Platino Industria, Weird Market and the Ibero-American Animation Co-production and Business Forum of the Quirino Awards. She has also been a jury member at Madrid en Corto, Kimuak, Canarias en Corto and Curt Creixent; she has been part of the technical committees for public aid to the audiovisual sector in Extremadura and the Valencian Community; and she is Vice-President of the Spanish Short Film Coordinator. She is currently the guest and industry director of the Quirino Awards, Weird Market and Next Lab Generation.

MARTA CODESIDO

Filmmaker and production coordinator for the Master’s Degree in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She co-directed Les més grans, a film that won the Biznaga de Plata Audience Award at the Malaga Film Festival, the Ópera Prima Award at the Alcances Film Festival and a Special Mention at DocsBarcelona, among others. She is currently in the development phase of her next film, entitled Bekainak nonahi. The project has received support from the Aukera mentoring programme, promoted by the Hemen association in the Basque Country, as well as La Residencia at the Intersección festival in A Coruña, the Talentuaren Gunea pitching, the Lab de Producció Emergent at the D’A festival in Barcelona and the Audiovisual Residency at La bonne in Barcelona.
