Film soundtrack with music by Stephen Prutsman (1960)
Buster Keaton’s legendary comedy The General (1926) will be brought to life with live music by the Trío Arbós. Stephen Prutsman’s score, performed live, interacts vibrantly with the fast-paced action and distinctive comedy of the film.
Winner of the 2013 National Music Award, the Trío Arbós is one of Spain’s most prestigious chamber ensembles. Its members — Juan Carlos Garvayo (piano), Ferdinando Trematore (violin) and José Miguel Gómez (cello) — have developed a brilliant international career, characterised by excellence and innovation. On this occasion, they are joined by Paul Cortese (viola) and Martina Alonso (violin) to offer the audience a combination of cinema and live music, rediscovering a classic with a new intensity and transforming the screening into a unique experience.
