Young actress Alex is raped at a New Year’s Eve party and does not recognise her attacker. When she seeks comfort and support from her brother Adrian, he reacts by questioning and pressuring her. Thus, Alex distances herself from her brother and everything she knows. For a year, she struggles alone with disgust, shame and guilt. Adrian, consumed by rage, makes his own decisions and embarks on an increasingly murky path, far removed from what Alex needs. Meanwhile, as she plays the vengeful character of Medea, she finds that theatre is the only way to channel her pain and anger.
